Valve question

My buddy just had all 5 valves replace with OEM and seats grinded. Springs are new as well. Should these seal as in hold liquid or do they need broke in with some ridding due to hard coating? The reason I ask is they aren't holding liquid very well.

Yes, they do need some run in time.

Thats kinda what i figured and told him but he's freakin out, thanks!

If the head is still off the engine, try this:

Take a punch and hammer in hand and tap on each valve stem 2-4 times just hard enough to make them bounce off the seat and close again. Then check them with solvent.

Yes, will do!

Be sure the head is not sitting flat down on a bench. You need room for the valves to lift off their seats. And don't get carried away with the hammer.

Gotcha...that might not end too well
