Tired of the 10/11 YZ450 Bashing?

The pros dont ride stock bikes. Stewarts bike has aftermarket clamps, transmission, suspension, linkage etc. And it weighs around 220 pounds, Isnt the stocker like 245.

At that level, they all have that stuff. But no way can you cut 25 lbs off that bike and still have it ridable.

his mechanics claim 220 according to a a recent mxa or dirt bike mag.

ya you can, I’ve cut almost 10 with a pipe, ti axels and swing arm pivot, those guys replace ever nut and bolt with the titanium... it can be done but it will cost you....

That 245 is wet weight...oil, radiator fluid and a full tank of fuel. Fuel would be about 10lbs using 6.25lb/Gal x 1.6 Gal tank. So Stewie bike would be at 230lbs. 15lb cut in weight totally believable.

How much, what's the break down on the parts you used? Also other than putting it on the stand did you notice any improvements when riding?
