You Are right HRC, it does not handle bad at all, In my case now I have spent big money striving for perfection now I am Just splitting hairs and going the extra mile to maybe get the ultimate ride.

I still loved my 10 and 11 out of the box really.

Done some testing with the new linkage and I am totally impressed!!

I mainly ride on hardpack, so my front end on inside lines was sometimes just a little vague. Now it is precise and doing exactly what i want out of it.

I'm getting my rebuilt stock suspension back this weekend. It's updated with parts from Technical Touch i Belgium...they deliver the factory KYB suspension for the GP teams. They have this kit called "GP-setting" that upgrades the stock KYB suspension. Can't wait to try it out ! The linkarm may be an further option though.

What ranges of fork height ABOVE the top clamp are you using?

What have you noticed?

I cant seem to get the "BITE" I.m looking for out of the front wheel.

I;m at 105mm sag.

I'm running 5 mm of tube showing above the top clamp. If you want more bite, slide the tubes "up" in increments of 2 mm or so at a time. At some point the front will start biting more, and the rear will start to kick out...At that point you need to slide the tubes back down just a bit, and you're good. You may find it to be a bit twitchy on the fast stuff, and can either slide the tubes back down to stabilize it on the faster sections, increase your sag in 5mm increments on the rear, or invest in a steeering dampner. On my '06, I found when I was at the track, I could get it to corner great, but the same geometry would make it twitchy in the fast sand washes off road. I liked the way it worked in the tight corners off road, so I ended up getting a Scotts steering dampner so I could leave it set up for corner carving, and still not have it shake it's head in the fast stuff.

Why INCREASE sag in the rear? Did you mean DeCrease?

Like go from 105 to 100? etc

If you increase the sag in the rear, from, say, 100 mm to 105, it lets the rear set lower, and essentially is the same as sliding your tubes "down", which raises the front of the bike (making the rear relatively lower) and will make the bike more stable in the faster stuff if it is twitchy...

Yup, either way you will be affecting fork geometry. If you RAISE the forks in the clamps,it will lower the front, sharpening the angle, and/or, if you raise the rear (by decreasing the sag) you do the same thing...:thumbsup:

OK. just got the 2011 yz 450 last thursday, been reading alot about the lowering linkage I am a bit confused and some questions. so the 2007 wr will work on the 2011? and on the fork tubes how do you measure the right height, my tubes are at the very top of the clamp. and the sag what should the appropiate sag be?

Ride your new bike for a while, and experience how it feels to you. Every rider is a different weight, places their body for and aft differently on the bike than anyone else. Play with sliding the tubes up and down, and adjusting your sag. After you figure out how your bike is handling with YOU on it, then start thinking about changing linkages etc...It may work perfect for you and your riding style right out of the box,

Well , thought I write some words about the KYB GP-Kit by Technical Touch.

All I can say is I'm super happy about my suspension right now ! This KYB SSS suspension really has some potential that's for sure ! With this GP-kit the suspension got very well balanced and the kicking from rearshock doesn't exist anymore. It's acts very progressive...takes the small hard edges with ease but still handles the big stuff just as good. Overjumped some tabletops and no problems there either. Funny thing is, when you move the suspension in the pits you could put money on that this suspension is way to soft. But that is not the case at all when you ride it.

The GP kit cost me cirka 1000$. I actually do not know if you US guys can buy this kit but I guess ENZO suspension or other KYB specialist's have a kit that reminds of this Europe GP-kit.

But as I said, this stock KYB SSS suspension really has some great potential !

This setup reminds me of my complete Ohlins suspension I had back in 2006.

But no more Ohlins from here on now, that I promise ! :ride:

That is exactly what you want out of your suspension, sounds perfect!!!!

It is worth spending the big money on it if you achieve results like you mention there.. Great stuff. thanks for the report HRC.
