Could someone tell me what and how to do or where to find and how to do the free mods for the 02 WR426f? I just got me one and what to get as much out of it as possible.

thanks

1. throttle stop / replace with yz or cut

2. airbox lid / put on shelf in garage

3. check into gyt-r insert for exhaust (the checking part is free...)

4. ride like mad, worry about rest later (gray wire, yz-timing, etc.)

the throttle stop would be the biggest thing. Where do I cut it?

BTW, I already took the airbox cover off.

New to the forum but have done pleanty of poking around andd ive concluded that i could stand to do a few things to make my bike more enjoyable. First off I ordered a pair of Acerbis rally handgaurds, a keyed ignition, and in the process of hunting down a pair of SM wheels. I am 6'1'' and 205 lbs and i can make the bike bottom out pretty easily should i maybe raise them more than 10 ? Prob gonna do the gray wire mod and the ais removal on my wr426f but what i really wanna improve is my brakes. Theyre stock :worthy: soo was looking at an ebc 320 mm any suggestions about which pads? The current brakes squeak a little much for my liking.

Thanks:worthy:

Go here http://www.thumperfaq.com/ and do all the free mods , they are the same on the 426 as the 250. Check into the common free mods as well. My old 426 really liked proper jetting and the YZ cam timing mod. WR Dave

Hey guys

Dont mean to be a thread stealer but how is the grey wire mod done??

cheers

cut the grey wire coming out of the CDI. Some people pull the pin out of the connector and wrap it in elec tape so it won't short on the frame.
