2011 450 backfire screen

do you guy run the screen and that secondary filter in your bikes.

Yes I run them both. the secondary just helps keep dirt out when you take out the primary filter.

I run them both too not worth the risk to take out the secondary filter given the design and how easy it would be to dump shit down the throttle body.

From everything I read a while back, taking out the backfire screen doesn't do anything to help performance, and on top of that it does serve a purpose. There were a few guys who had their filter catch on fire because they didn't oil it right and the backfire screen was removed.

I have both out of them, and never had one problem.

ive been running k&n filter for a while, removed both per instructions, never had a problem either
