where to get spacer kit for rims

2 posts in this topic

I just recently picked up a 2005 Yamaha WR 450F and am in the process of SuMoing it. I've read in various places online that when putting a 5" rim and 160 tire combo on the WR that you need a spacer kit so the chain doesn't rub. There was a guy selling them here, but I'm not seeing any links to purchase and he's not responding to my emails.

Does anyone know where to find a spacer kit comparable to this one? Has anyone put a 5" rim with a 160 tire on a WR without spacers? Any info related to this would be very helpful.

(this is also posted on SMJ and TT)

I have a 01 426 and got a spacer kit from "launchzone", the guy makes them to order. I got my setup for about 60 bucks shipped with parts and instructions. I havnt installed it in yet, because Im in the process of rebuilding my motor, but you can also offset your rim by loosening one side then tightening the other the same amount of turns, unless of course you dont have spoked wheels. Hope this helps.
