Is my throttle stop screw right?

2 posts in this topic

Just removed my throttle stop screw and it is already short (UK '03 WR450).

Thumperfaq suggests that throttle stop should measure 33mm (on a 250 anyway) and should be cut down to 24.765mm, whereas mine is already only 23.20mm long (total length). Its not been cut and the previous/first owner did not mod it? Or is it just a case of the UK models not being restricted?

Yours is a larger carb and has a shorter stop (carb bodies are the same, only the carb bore is different) than the 250. You are fine.

Most non-us bikes are not restricted.
