Fork maintenance

2 posts in this topic

Does anyone do anything special with their forks with regard to short or long term storage? Some MX'ers have told me to bleed all the air out when not riding or back off of the compression. I wasn't even aware that our forks had air bleed screws. Do they? Is there anything we should be doing with our bikes forks while they sit in the garage?

Cheers.

the bleed vent is on the fork cap. You'll see two (flat tip) screwdriver screw heads.

One is the rebound adjuster, the other the bleed vent.

Never heard of winterizing forks...but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
