WR450F rear axle removal question

I'm trying to remove the nut on the right side of a 2008 WR450 so I can pull the axle out and get the rear wheel off. However, I'm trying to turn the nut in the correct direction (lefty/loosy, righty/tighty) even with a breaker bar and the whole axle is trying to rotate. The stop block of aluminum on the left side is starting to bend a little and I don't want to break anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Okay, never mind. I got the nut off. I was afraid it might have been reverse threads but that wasn't the case. It was a self locking nut and it was just singing tight. I did back off the chain tensioners and put a 1/2" drive impact wrench on it. That did'nt get it loose but it may have got it started. Anyway, the nut came off and the rest of the axle and wheel came apart as expected with no further problems.

I'd check the manual if I had one. The fact that I was bending parts trying to get the nut loose is what was bothering me. I put the new sprocket on and then cut the new chain to length. I thought I was being careful and measured and cut the new chain to length. Now it's too short. I have a second master link on order. Any probelms with the strength of the chain or anything like that because of the second master link?

If rivited correctly no issues. I don't trust clip on links on any high performance bike, dirt or srteet.

I'll try the double master link option first. I've been riding for many years and have never, ever, had a master link fail. Besides, I don't have the equipment to "rivet" new links into the chain.

What size metric wrench do you need for that nut? New to me WR450F, need to tighten up the chain. Biggest socket I have is a 22mm, not quite big enough. Thanks much!
