WR450 Speedometer Gear Noise

1 post in this topic

I just picked up a 2004 wr450. I got a whopping seven miles on it before the tripometer quit working and I can hear a noise that sounds like plastic gears running really rough in the gear assembly on the front wheel ; the noise doesn't change with the cable unhooked. I haven't taken it apart yet but I was wondering if I can remove the gears from it or something. I don't really care if it works but the noise is annoying. (Probably will get a trail tech or something similar anyway)
