Cdi mod

GREY,

I did the '06 cdi mod to my '09 yzf450, now i've got a '09 cdi box that is sitting here and i was thinking if it would work in my '05 WR450?

If it does work would there be any benefit that you or anyone else would know of?

One way to find out...

Grey-

I was thinking the same thing, just try it.

is the worst that can happen is that it will not start or worse?

thanks for the help

Picture notwithstanding, probably either that or just not run well.

I will be trying it out Sunday..I'll let you know what happens if anything....

again thank you I've been a lurker [if that's a word] for a long time and have enjoyed your thoughts.

I thought the WR's had DC electronics where the YZ's were AC, would it even work?

Ooops! Missed the WR part. You're right: won't work at all, probably won't even plug in.

Dang...I saw the WR part at the beginning and was just "hopping" you didnt miss it and that it might actually work.

But then again, I knew it wouldnt because if you YZ guys want real lights you have to go with the WR crank half/stator and cdi box
