DRD Radiator Lowering?

5 posts in this topic

Yes I have the kit on my 2010 YZF450

I have a practice & race bike but only have the kit on my race bike and I truly believe I can feel the difference.

Its not big but you notice it.

For the small price its well worth it I feel.

I would buy them again.

All the small things add up.

when you say you feel the difference what specifically is difference. the reason i am considering it, is because i tend to drop my bike a lot and have replaced one rad already, and its time to replace the other one. at $380 each i was hoping the lowering kit would protect them a little better.

I installed the lowering kit on my 2010 after the first ride simply because I had it for my 2006. It seemed to make the bike feel a little lighter but the change does nothing to protect the radiators - it simply moves them down. If you're really looking to protect them, I'd go with radiator cages as opposed to the lowering kit.

I would think that it would actually increase their exposure to impacts.
