I'm doing the top end, and I'm contemplating a big bore kit in the process. Bike is a 04, with all free mods, FMF Ti PowerCore, Hotcams, and JD Jetting. I'm looking for torque. Right now the bike is very hard hitting, big power, but major wheel spin, not overly "tractable". Best way I can describe it is a comparison to the inline 4 street bikes like a CBR, versus a big V-Twin...I like the big V-Twin power over the inline 4 power.... The old XR 600 kinda power..... The HotCams is a love/hate thing for me....love the power gains, don't love the wheel spin.... For the guys with big bore's, pro/cons? What did it do to the power delivery? How did it affect jetting? If I stick with OEM piston/cylinder, I'm going to play with gearing, going from a 14/51, to a 14/48 combo... Also thinking of a stainless Megabomb....that help me get to where I want, or make it even worse?
