Crankcase Bearings Orientation?

3 posts in this topic

Hi all,

Im currently doing a bottom end rebuild on my YZ426 2002 model. I have removed all my bearings from both halves of the crankcases for replacement, but forgot to note down the orientation of the bearings:bonk:

Do the size codes face towards the inside or outside of the cases? I can see the main bearings need to face inside the case due to the retainers but not sure on the others?

Any help or advice will be greatfully recieved.

it does not really matter, I generally put them in with the code visible from inside the case - makes it easier to identify without having to pull it first.
