oil filter 2010

are there reusable filters out yet and who has them

The filters are the same as for the '09 and earlier.

On the 09 and earlier ,

Does the closed end go the case

It's reversed from the '10 layout. '98-'09, the closed end goes in, and the filtered oil runs through passages in the cover. On the '10, the open end goes inward, and the cover carries no oil.

so in that case the 09 filter would be reversed ,and it would be th at exact same part.

The Filtron filters I bought for my 06, Iam useing them in my 2010.

so you put them in reverse ?

as your 06

They will only go in one way in either bike. There's a tab the prevents the cover from going on if you do it wrong.

The tab on the 2010 is from the case side

That's right.

The hole in the filter with the rubber grommet goes in first on the 10 model.

The solid end of the filter is against the oil case cover that has the two bolt holes in it.

i have a reusable filter. same filter as earlier models (including my 07 yz250f) nd as stated before the open end goes in first. theres only one way it can fit together so its 'fool proof'
