are these footpegs any good?

Looks about like the standard style of IMS Pegs, but more affordable.

I'd buy 'em.

They are nothing special. Did you break a stock one or something? These are by no means an upgrade from stock.

These are by no means an upgrade from stock.

The fact that they are "wider" than stock is an upgrade in it self...

i am not by any means a pro, just the regular "weekend warrior" :ride:

If you dont care that they are "cheaper" peg then I would say buy em.

I bought these ones and they have been awesome

(They dont show them for the 400 but I'm sure a 03-06 WR peg will still fit your bike)

i just checked and the OEM footpegs from '98 don't interchange with the '99-'00... :ride:

so...are these worth the extra $? : http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&webTypeId=93&navTitle=Dirt+Bike+Parts&webCatId=19&keyword=IMS+FOOT+PEGS&prodFamilyId=5314#vehicleSelect

Those look just like a pair I bought.

(There are plenty of similar -- if not identical -- pegs being sold through a bunch of different outlets. I've seen them for as low as $18.95)

They are not much to look at, just black paint over the rough, as-cast finish.

The teeth are not super sharp, but some people like that.

They are 'taller'. Due to the way the peg is located on the pivot, they move your feet up about 5+mm over a stock peg.

They are heavy and seem plenty durable.

IMS Pro-Series Foot Pegs are top notch, but pricy...

+1

I managed to score some of these Moose titanium pegs for less than the price of some fastaways last year.

Let me say once you try pegs with a high center you'll never go back. Way more grip when getting forward or back on the bike. It also sits in the arch of your foot well for regular riding and doesn't bother me when riding on the balls of my feet. Great design for keeping mud from packing as well, very open. And the Titanium pegs are tough as nails. A year of abuse and they still look like new. Didn't take me too long to start bending the stockers.

They have very sharp teeth that you don't have to keep filing ( I still have to file my brake pedal though :ride:) and a little wider than stock.

The titanium ones are also almost half the weight of stainless

If you can't find a deal on the titanium ones Moose offers the same design in stainless.

i had the same ones on my XR400 and they are good

I ordered them 2 weeks ago and i am waiting for the package to arrive in Romania today or monday. I will post some feedback as soon as I get them.

Cheers

I like these. http://www.pivotpegz.net/. I got a pair of PowerPegz which is the same concept but they went out of business. The ability to pivot makes for a very comfortable ride in all conditions.
