'00 426 parts?

well my tranny finally ate it and it locked up the motor now...should i just sell the bike for parts or attempt to tear it down myself evenuatlly and then sell it as a whole?

irregardless, i bought a new 09 crf450 a few weeks ago sooo ill be most likely riding that anyway....

parts wise, i got

asv levers

protaper bars

protaper upper 5 position rubber mounted tripple clamp

white bros slip on

holeshot device

ti-subframe

CF airbox

CF side #plates

CF skid plate (inbetween rails)

CF rear brake cover

i mean it was a goo bike up till the tranny in 4th and 5th finally gave way...i just dont know what i should do with it...i still need to get get of my 06 yz250f too :/

but seriously I'd probably rebuild it. I keeping my 426 to race in vintage class when it becomes a vintage model:smirk:

Fix it - you might find a used tranny on ebay or just buy the gears you need OEM - they're not that expensive. it's only a short matter of time until the honda blows up anyways so you'll be glad you fixed that trusty blue bike!

guess it would give me sum good experience to at rebuilding a motor without having the pressure to get it done as fast as possible since i have another ride ehh

Id keep it and fix it eventually if i were you. I miss my old 426

i just get kinda up and down about wanted to fix it or get rid of it :/ as for the 250F it just didnt have enuff power for beign in the states for my riding style, and thats even with the 290 kit, had to work to hard...i mean i coulda put more into the head and exhaust and stuff but i just didnt think it was worth me puttin all that into a 250F :/

i really wanted a '10 yz450f but didnt want the 8k+ tag to go with it, got to much of a good deal on the 09 honda not to get it :/
