Flatland guards and shroud fitment

Just installed a set of Flatland rad guards on a 05'. Question is can you ever get the bottom shroud bolt to mate up with the radiator without really flexing the shroud hard? Theres a good size gap between the plastic and radiator and when it's drawn in with the bolt it really flexes the shroud hard. I trimmed the rib thickness down about a 1/4", if I cut the ribs completely down will the the shroud ever mate up flush?

Thanks

If it's anything like the unabikers you'll have to put a longer bolt and a spacer there.

i have the moose/enduro engineering and they also use a longer bolt and spacer

There should have been spacers and longer bolts included. I have Flatland guards on my '07 and they fit very well. They have saved the rad's several times. :moon:

Longer bolts were provided. I trimmed some more plastic off and it fits a little better, good enough.

Flatland on '06 no problems.
