01 yz426

What else is there to do? Looks pretty close to me?

Not to much to do. Footpegs, hourmeter and still waiting the return of the original and an 04 shock.

:thumbsup:Way to go Carter, very nice job! I hope to do the same to my WR400 when I have a few extra bucks around. Enjoy that sweet machine!

Happy New Year!

happy new year to all you awesome 426 riders, ok and the rest of you! but anyway great job on the bike it turned out awesome, were did you buy those blue frame guards?

its amazing how well you made that look

That bike looks great! Where did you find those graphics?

Hi J-mca, the number plates are custom made from Rusk racing and the rest of them are factory effex evo graphics which can be brought almost anywhere.

How did you get the motor so clean!!! Last winter i went through the same thing on my 01 426. Tore it all down, painted the frame, valve cover, and misc motor covers. While it was all apart i also did the 450 body conversion. The one thing i cannot get the dirt stains off of is the motor!! What is the trick!!

Secret....... No, I have a small sand blaster which gets used on the case halves to clean the stubborn mud/oil stains. Other then that I use a chemical cleaner like alibrite .

Some heat wrap and a small guard to stop the dings.

This was a fun project and I'm quite happy with the results. To think I nearly passed on getting this bike.

I'll have to find some before pics to post.
