Shoot. I may get a second one for this price!! I don't really care what you do to the bikes, they still have to be ridden by a human.

Any changes at this point in the game are very very small. Perhaps in 5-6 years we may see some huge improvements but what will they be? My $3800 says nothing worth $8K

I wish they had a few left over YZ125s for even cheaper. Would love to pick up a new smoker

that is a steal for any big bore 450 brand new. 250fs even in some areas. but for the faster guys, (or guys who have the money) the 2010 yz450f has many MANY dramatic changes. so hence the higher price tag. but if you dont care for the new efi/frame/complete redesign then thats gona be the price to beat!

I just purchased a White 250F from Dexter's on Friday, 3699.00 out the door. Purchased it on my Yamaha card, no money down, no payments, no interest for 12 months. I had a white 2007 250F in the crate, that I sold yesterday for 3800.00. I think I am going to sell my 09 KX250F for a easy sale at 3500 and pick up the 450 for 3799.00. For once, I will not be getting killed on resale. I will race these bikes for a whole session then resell them for what I paid for them.

The above gave me a huge headache just trying to decipher it. Once I figured out what it said, I realized how WRONG the poster was. What a ridiculous statement. Come up to MX207 in Maine next weekend bro, you'll get your ass handed to you by several friends of mine that run 08's and '09 yz 450's.

Also if your riding what bikes best for any given year, why you on an '09 kx? 'Cause the mags told you so? :bonk:

Back on topic, yes that is a killer steal. I'd buy one for that price, and I hate yamaha.

Thats cool and sad at the same time. I feel for the folks who bought them for the 79.00 per month and put no money down.

I would love a10, but it woudl be a difficult choice when I could get two 09's for the same price.

dudes statement is way extreme but you have to admit that 08 and 09 yz450s are slow compared to the class leaders. whoever brainstormed the mechanical muffler should be horsewhipped . theres no way to put a positive spin on -5 hp in the midrange. and yes before you ask, ive ridden the 08 and the 09. i was severly underwhelmed. i know there are people at your local track that can beat me on an 09 with a shop rag in the airbox. that's beside the point. you might notice that everyone who rides the 2010 says, “this handles better than any yz i've ever ridden” . there's a reason for that. fourstroke yz's have never handled that well. i should clarify, they were great handling bikes right up until honda brought out the crf in 02.

getting back on topic, of coures it's a steal to pay 4k or less for a new 450. unfortunately everyone of us will be getting less for our used bikes from now on.

The difference between criticism and bashing is that one focuses on specific factual points, and the other is just a baseless rant.
