He is paid by Yamaha , true, but what he said has been pretty standard of all the ride reports I've read. I would love to ride this beast myself.

I remember him saying that he didnt like his bike when he first came to the team. I knew it was largely due to its instability in cornering, especially for him coming off a Kawi. But now he is saying this bike is awsome!!! I really pumped for this bike, gonna try n score me one :bonk:

He used to praise the awesome 2005 KX 250 that he rode, until several years later when he said it was a horrible motorcycle. He is paid to say good things about the motorcycle he is paid to ride, like any other racer.

The rumor in the pits at the US Open was that JS has broken 4 transmissions so far.

I also read on a bathroom wall that JS asked Yamaha to replace the internal tranny gears with Honda gears for more speed and relibility.

i think you misunderstood....he was running a 4speed transmission for the US Open, and from the results it did not have any issues:p

i wouldnt be surprised, being that they claim he doesnt use brakes or clutch.

i tried to ride like that and found myself killing the tranny with downshifts into turns instead of using brakes.

decided that brakes are cheaper to replace than tranny parts.
