I was looking over at the other forums and the wr guy was talking about checking the valves after breakin? Is this a must up there with the oilfilter ritual?I have over 10hrs on my 426 do I need to check em soon.

I checked mine after the 3rd (ish) oil change.

Bang on the mark.

Havn't even looked at them in 6 months.

I havn't ever heard of anyone having to adjust them at all.

I also checked mine a while after break in. They were on the tight side of spec, but they were ok. I'll probably try to check them once or twice a year now. Checking them is easy, just pull the seat, tank and head cover off and check. If you have to adjust them is where it will take a little more time.

I've had my bike for eight months. I've checked them several times and adjusted once. Yes, they will get tight. They say to definately check them after break in.
