OIL LEAK

Has any-one had problems with the countershaft seal leaking. I've have replaced it twice and it's leaking agian. I have a 98 400.

If you run your chain too tight it will cause premature failure of this seal.

Did you turn the bush around?

I found mine wearing on the bush.

Also check the orings on the bush.

I am running it on the tight side, I'm running a sidewinder o-ring w/ stainless rear spk. and if i run it to yamaha specs it "slaps" pretty bad. I'll give it another shot and see if it helps.
