Demo 2008?

The "$3K better" thing is a red herring, anyway. In the first place, if you shop just a little, you should be able to get a 2010 for $8000 or so OTD, and '09's are still fetching $5500+ in many places (one member here just paid that for an '08, and was happy to get the deal), so $3K is a bit of a stretch to start with. I know there are exceptions on both sides of that, so don't bother.

It's been that way every year for the last several, anyway, particularly in '06, when the Gen2 450 came out at an MSRP of something like $7200. It was the same last year, when dealers were selling leftover '08's for $5500 to clear them out. Nothing's changed, except that this year, much more so than in '06, the bike really is different, and by most accounts very much improved.

I meant myself being faster dollar for dollar was all. It isn't worthe the $3000 to me is all:ride:

Gotcha:ride:

Any break in tips for me? How soon can I run your famous Amsoil/Scotts setup?

My comment about the 2010 could have been worded better.

I meant you moving up from your 2004 to the 2008,probably is like jumping off an 2009 and onto a 2010. Totally different feel, that you probably wouldn't notice as much in normal year to year changes.

My 04 is very well setup for me so time will tell how much better this bike is after I get everything on it and setup the way I like it(sag, bars etc) The biggest improvement to me was the motor and 5 speed gearbox.

So far the suspension sucks compared to my 04 which as the best suspension you can get from Enzo on it. The other bonus was just the feel of the bike it fells 30lbs lighter though it is only 3lbs or so.

Does anyone think it is worth it to put my Enzo subtanks on this bike or are the twin chambered forks that much better? Gray?

Break in: follow the procedure in the manual. Run the bike about half as hard as it can for about the first 20 minutes, 3/4 of it's potential for another hour.

You can run synthetics during break in if you like. In fact, you should. Better oil is more important during break in than it is later. The myth that you shouldn't use it for break in is in the category I call Bovine Scatology. BS for short.

Thanks Gray what about the subtanks?

The sub tanks can be used, but they aren't really as important or effective as with the single chamber fork.

ok I am gonna try to sell em on Ebay then should fetch at least a $100 on there thanks.

Thanks for all the info Gray I am sorry that by purchasing this bike you are stuck with me for a couple more years:p

Some should be close to you and other can be shipped for $199.

Who ships bikes for $199?
