Dave J/ Smart Performance long term review

1 post in this topic

2003 WR450F uncorked, greywire, Powerbowl, JD kit, GYT tip.

- Previously to rebuilding and re-springing and re-valving the suspension, I could not ride the WR with my other friends: I could not keep up. I had to ride my highly modified 450X. Suspension was the issue: too soft, too wallowy, too unpredictable.

- Now, after putting about 25 hours on the newly re-done suspension I am impressed.

- There is still some deflection at very low speeds, but I don't think it's possible to eliminate that with a 265lb rider, and still work well at speed, without going to better suspension components.
