I firmly withdraw my previous comments about 2010 YZF's "BNG".

If those photos are truly production versions, that bike is totally new. That engine configuration is trick!

I see they already offer an EFI tuner for it. Very Cool.

So, it is a lot of the things it was rumored to be:

• Inverted head
  
• EFI
  
• 4 Valves
  
• Rear slanted cylinder
  
• Air box up front
  

The shock looks cool, but it's not electronic (squashed that one)

The bore/stroke revision and the cylinder offset are very interesting.

The intake port is a thing of absolute beauty.

Anyone see any hard info regarding split oil supplies or wet vs. dry sump?

97mm bore and 60.8mm stroke...interesting. So is the cylinder being offset from the crank.

Yamaha will sell thousands of them even if they don't work better than the older ones (although they probably will work better!) simply due to the "trickness" factor.

My next diesel will be fuel injected for sure . . . no more jetting.:-)

A very nice FI system that monitors its self. Thats what iwas hoping for. Unlike the half ass open loop KX, RM, CR 450's
