Countdown to September

I thought Sept. 8th was supposed to be the big day...or is that just more speculation?

At this point, I will go with the historians, and let the forecasters do what they will.

I think it's all speculation until it goes on record.

Better add a few days to that. The dealer show isn't until Labor Day weekdend.

That's why I was thinking the 8th...the day after Labor Day. Pure speculation though...

At washougal the Yamaha Rep that was there for the 250f introduction told me that the release date is September 8th. I then asked him when the bike would be in dealers because I didn't want to sell my bike and wait 6 months and he said that it should be in dealers October/November.

I wonder if they will have a promotion for the 2010 yz's like they do now for the 09 ($1000.00 cash back) on the 450f.

The 2010 450f will probally be $8000.00 dollars or a little more:eek:

Funny you mention 8K....when the new '06 YZ450 came out there was a dealer in say "the Austin" area that quoted me an OTD price of 8K for a blue '06 YZ450F.

Dealers..urghhh:foul:

Some of them are a little hard to figure, that's for sure.

I believe you've heard about the one very local to my home that I stopped into when I was staring to look at buying the first '06 for my son around June of '06. He had an '06 LE on the floor that had been there for a few months. I asked for his best deal for cash, and he said, "MSRP plus tax and license." He still had that bike in '08.

I wish my dealer was closer to me... 3 hours away isn't too bad I guess but I liked the days when they were 20 minutes away much better. I paid $6500 OTD for my 06 and they gave us $1500 trade on the TT-R 125 we had so I was only out of pocket $5k for a brand new bike.

It very well could be December before the new bike hit's dealers, I just asked him to make sure it wasn't going to be like the '10 CRF450 which won't be in dealers till Feburary. I imagine the new bike will have an msrp of around $8,100. Sounds like Yamaha is going to have the introduction at Glen Helen on September 8th so look for videos etc shortly after.
