Wheel bearings

Okay so changed the front wheel bearings on my 05 yz 450 last week.. i did not grease the rubber seal is this a big deal? or should i not worry about it? Sorry for my ignorance but someone posted a vid that said you need to do that and i did not know when i was doing mine...

Some people like to remove the seal and re-grease the sealed bearing. If you bought quality bearings, it shouldn't be a problem.

Okay cool i did not think it was i have not ever herd that.. But figured i would check to be safe... i always buy quality parts there is no reason to buy a cheap parts for anything that costs any large sum of money... Thats goffy ?

I pack grease between the wheel seal and the bearing ( not the bearing seal), which is added protection from water getting into the bearing
Wheel bearing seals and the like should always be greased. If run dry, they will wear rapidly.
I don't know why I didn't read it that way the first time around. It was all clear the second time. ?

Anyway, yes, I would/do grease the seal.
