WR 450F Spark Arrestor

3 posts in this topic

Since the WR450F 2003 stock muffler isn't stamped, U.S.F.S. approved. What happens when you show up to a race that requires an approved spark arrestor?

Ossa,

Not sure of the answer to your question but I have a 00 WR400 and an 02 WR426 and neither have the Forestry approved stamping on the pipe. Both have the stock pipes. Sure seems the language should be there.

Yamaha 's website states that the 03' WR450 has a spark arrestor. Now does it have to be stamped U.S.F.S.? I don't know.

I'm in the same dilemma with my 02' WR426.
