Lost 6th gear on 06 wr 450

Riding on a 2 track road and it was working fine, got into a more technical section and downshifted. Once back in the open I couldn't get 6th. All other gears are smooth as ever. Any pointers out there?

That's a known problem with the WR's, unfortunely the only way to fix it is to buy a new bike. I feel for you dude.

It must have fallen off. Go back and look for it.

I sold my last Husqvarna in 1992. I bought a 1992 Yamaha 250WR and never looked back. I've owned four Yamahas since then and I am still looking for 6th gear. Is this what they call muscle memory?

I can't believe how tall fifth gear is on the WR. I'll shift into fifth doing a little as 45mph and i've had her up to 96mph.

I lost mine, but I found out where it went.....

I found it in the wife's TTR 230...She SAYS she didn't take it....but, I dunno....

Mine somehow found itself on my buddies ktm. If you change to orange plastics, it may come back!

It's there. All WR's have 6th gear. Unfortunately the engineers used the same ratio as 5th so it's like overdrive without the drive. If you miss the shift, just keep pulling up on the shifter.

Go back and read the sticky at the top of this forum. You should have used loctite on it before it fell out!

I just bought a 06 wr somewhere between Atlanta and Spartanburg I lost my 6th gear somewhere on 85
