weird engraved numbers on engine?

hey guys today i was cleaning my bike and found what looks to be like someone has engraved numbers on various parts of my engine?any idea of what it means?

cheer's

motor could have been assembled or ported by a shop. A lot of times they use engraved numbers to identify and track work that has been performed.

But if it's engraved by hand there is no way to really know...

so im guessing there is no way to really tell what it is ?

I would say probably not. Unless the engraving has something that mentions a shop name.

This is common. The engraved numbers are used at the factory to note measurements for custom fitting, lot numbers, quality control, etc.

I was gonna do this on my bike so if it got stolen

I could ID it fast
