426 piston

Recommended Posts

I'd expect it to go in without changing anything mechanical. Definitely will need to go through the jetting routine when you're done (might want to check with JD for a kit). At least make sure the cylinder bore is straight and true and the plating is good and honed for the new ring. JE has a pretty good reputation. Never used their pistons myself.

yz 426 trying to decide on a piston. which brand? 13.5 or 12.5? would i benefit from the higher ratio for a trail/gravel pit bike?

Get yourself a Wiseco 13.5:1. I had one and loved it. :banghead:

I don't think anyone makes a bad piston, but I've used Wiseco's for years with great luck.
