2005 WR 450 Oil Splatter

2 posts in this topic

My last trip was only my third time out on this bike, still getting used to things. Stepped up from a 250. I noticed after about 2hours of riding that there was some oil splatter on the left side swing arm leaking from the bottom of the air filter compartment. I heard the it is a natural occurrence that these larger bikes force some oil out at higher rpms. Any truth to that? Anything to be concerned out? Thanks.

Check if your engine breather hose is routed into the air box . More than likely to be excess air filter oil dripping off the air filter. Any way , you should not be getting any oil coming out of the engine breather.
