countershaft sprocket broken tooth

3 posts in this topic

Hi,

Today, I observed some broken tooth at my countershaft sprocket. I'm not an 'aggressive' rider and I try to figure out what caused that. Could it be something related to the chain ?

Thanks,

Vapi

Was the sprocket loose?

Is the chain old and been used with other sprockets?

Cheap sprocket may be....

The chain is likely slipping on the sprocket because:

- both sprockets and chain are very worn out

- rear wheel is way out of alignment

- junk sprocket

- you ride in a gravel pit
