brakes feel like a board!

i have just changed my pads on my 02 wr 426f, my lever still feels like a board, when i pump it, its smooth, but the first initial squeez, feels tight, then when i stop and pump it a few times it gets smoother.

Its like grabing and then it will let go!

Is it time to rebuild the Nissn master cylinder?

If so, where is a good place to get the parts and how hard is it to install?

Thanks,

Mike

Sounds like the calipers, not the MS.

caliper slides need some special silicone attention

so, do i need to take the calipers apart to lube, or where does the lube need to be placed?

Thats makes sense, bc when i pushed the pistons in, the were really hard and never completely went in!!!

Whats the steps to cure this problem?

Thanks

Anyone have any suggestions how to fix this problem?

Take the calipers apart and inspect. We don't know whats there till you look. They are either dry or damaged. If dry, you need the silicone grease used on car calipers. If damaged badly, you need new calipers.
