All this talk about the woodruff key has had me wondering is it only affects the american bikes. I have had my wr450 for 2 weeks now and have yet to ride. I have called my dealer as well as a few other canadian dealers and they all say they have not heard of this problem. My manual did have a sheet of paper tucked inside the front cover that said what the correct torque should be. The other thing that concerns me is that if you just loosen and re torque the nut is that good enough? I'm thinking that the woodruff key had been stressed because of the over torque and should be replaced. What do you guys think?
