FMX Bend Pics?

10 posts in this topic

Does anybody have pictures from the top. back. and sides of the pastrana fmx pro tapers. I am looking at getting them because I am 6'4" but do not like tons of pull back. I just want the rise.

The problem with Pastrana FMX bars is that they are an inch narrower than normal. Pull back is about the same as the Windham bend. An alternative is the KX High bend, which is 108 high, as compared with 99 for the Windhams, or 121 for the Pastranas.

It's also important to run the bars well forward at your height. GYT-R makes a set of risers that move the bars 5mm farther forward than the foremost stock position, at either the stock or +5mm height.

Oh forgot to mention that I have pro taper p3 top clamp that can move forward and backward. I have them forward now, so i will not be messing with that. By narrow, you mean smaller width right? that wont be a prob because I ride woods and usually cut my bars down anyway. Cool, I have ridden with whindam bars before and the pullback was not bad.

Renthal RC High is the tallest normal bar you can get. 119mm with 54mm pullback. I am 6'4" and have 2 nephews taller than me and we all run this bar.

What exactly is the RC high bend anyway?! Is this Carmichael's bend in a tall version?

Does anybody know if the fmx bars will fit with stock cables comfortably?

Yes, they will. For awhile I was running the Pastrana FMX bars with the BRP submount for my Scotts damper which raises everything another 25 mm and even that worked...but it was close.
