What type of oil should i use?

I have a 2000 Yamaha YZ426F, and i was wondering what type of oil will make my bike last longer, and how often i should change it.

The very best is amsoil. Change it every 4-6 hours seat time depending on how hard you run.

The majority of the guys I know use Shell Rotella 15W40. I've used it for years with no problems, I change it every ride.

Mobil 1 Or Amsoil Also Mutol syn, Are the best out there.

amsoil or motul. not more than 10 hours between changes. no guessing, put an hour meter on it.

Bell Ray Thumper 20/50. This oil is awesome!

I use Red Line Oil

Use Mobil 1 4t racing oil . It is made just for thumpers.

amsoil

what type of amsoil do you guys run?

10W-40 Amsoil MCF

Honestly I run Yamalube 10 - 50 4r. Change it every 3 rides (3-4 hours). Never had a problem

+1

even after 2 days of riding(8 hours) with 40c in deep dunes its still preety clean :p i try to change it every 5 hours max, but when i cant its still gold.

what alse can we ask for? (free)

Maxima 4 Extra 15/50 Seams to hold up the best in the trans/engine common volume for me. I have been racing with it for years and have had no engine or clutch issues. Knock on wood....

I have not tried the Amsoil...... But hear nothing but good things about it.
