07 YZ 450F Noise

My YZ 450f is all stock and I hear a noise that sounds like valve chatter but only while it idles and at low rpm's. The yamaha shop said it's normal to hear certain noises because of the type of engine. Is this true or should I have it checked and fixed?

Compare with other '06-'07 models. The aluminum frame exaggerates the already noisy engine, making it sound like a cross between a bucket of wrenches and a pipe fitter's convention. Most of what you hear normally is primary gear backlash at an idle. Then there's a growl from the trans that goes away when the clutch is pull in; that's also normal. Skid plates make it even noisier.
