I'm running my 01 on the ice with both radiators ducted taped off almost completely and the oil temp gauge only reads 150 to 175 and is bogging just like it went it is running cold. Thinking about removing right radiator completely using a aluminum tube to tie both hoses together :)

Might try wraping the areas of the frame where the oil is. Header wrap or some insulator might work. Also fill in the area under the fuel tank to minimize air flow and heat transfer. The only experience I had on the ice was blowing my motor on a RM125 20 years ago. You blowing any radiator fluid out with them all taped up?

Where's those Kanucks when you need them?
