Maintenance practices of the seller.... if it was maintained well (oil change, valve check/adj, lubrication of swingarm/linkage and steering head bearings, etc..)

No inherent issues with that bike.:ride:

The rest is just figuring out what mods he has done:thumbsup:

Is it a plated bike??? 2k on a 450 is alot of miles which could translate into significant amount of hours. Don't forget, the "new generation" motors get roughly 200 hrs before they need a top end rebuild, even with meticulous care.

I put a new piston in my 07wr450 when it hit 3500 miles . the old one did not look bad but I swear I could hear the skirt slapping . so I put in a JE piston.

At 2000 miles I'd be more concerned with chassis bearing condition and whether or not the chain munched the subframe. The engine should be good to go for at least another 8000 miles assuming it was maintained properly and not abused.

just rebuilding my wr450 07 with 7500 miles just to freshen it up and not a mark on piston, oil changed every 500 miles, valves have been checked but never been out of spec .

There ya go.

At 5000 miles a non abused WR 450f might need piston rings. The cam chain is cheap insurance though.
