One way starter gear stuck

1 post in this topic

Yesterday i replaced for the first time the cam chain of my WR450F 2003.

Everything was OK but when i reassembled everything i tried to start the bike and it wouldn't start. I pulled off the small gear that moves from the starter and the bike started at first kick!

With that gear and the small cover of the crancase off i kickstarted the bike and heard a strange sound. The starter gear which is behind the flywheel is stuck and it will not run free as it's supposed.

Is there a possibility that this problem might have happened from an overtorqued nut on the flywheel?
