Whats been your best mod for the money?

Just curious on what you guys have to say on the topic..

for me.. as of right now would have to be my PC Ti-4 exhaust. Really woke up the bike.

I have an 08 yz450, the yoshimura and the suspension upgrades were far the best money spent. Some of the red bling I boght looks cool but doesnt add any performance

The Rekluse z-start pro is the best money I've spent. The suspension revalve runs a close second.

An extended fuelscrew so I can dial it in at altitude, kick-it so I don't have to find a tree to lean against, triple clamp mounted handguards so my levers don't get busted when I crash my brains out.

But in terms of grin factor, the Yosh!

Suspension.

I guess it depends on what year model we are talking about. On an 08 with the short muffler I would say an exhaust for sure as the suspension is really good for most people. Anything on back I might say suspension and tire selection is on top. If anyone has not tried the 745 Dunlop tires I would definately say to run some. I only have a few rides on mine but for this time of year I am really happy right now.

Suspension.

no doubt about it.

Enzo Suspension and 22mm RG3 tripple clamps

I still say suspension, but I can't disagree with this where the bike is an '08. The stock exhaust is just lame. When a slip-on from a mini specialist will get you 6 hp at 5000rpm, something's just not right.

i have the 08 yz450f and i dumped $2500 into it. The pc Ti4 full system. Fasst flex bar system. Boysen acc pump cover, boysen flex grips, pc vent system, factory effect seat hump, hand gurds, boysen power wing, and more and the bike is great

The rekluse e-axle and D742 front tire on my 06 450. That combo really inspired confidence in my bikes handling!

renthal 12t countershaft sprocket cost me $15 shipped

Definitely the rekluse e-axle

Suspension on my 07 for sure

Suspension is the best investment period ..... unless you are a beginner, Suspension work,Springing and/or revalving will make you a better, faster more importantly a more confident rider.

everything else is secondary.....

Hmmmm.....well, I ride & race off-road only, no MX. For me its a toss-up between these, they all changed one aspect of the bikes performance considerably.

1) Correct suspension springs - way better cornering & handling.

2) Steahly flywheel weight - less stalling, smoother low end, just easier to live with.

3) Scotts stabilizer - self explanitory.

I've done those same things, and I must agree that the heavier flywheel is a very good value (I used the GYT-R Offroad version).

I also am extremely fond of the Scotts stabilizer I have. A little pricey, but indispensable, IMO.

But the Smart Performance fluid and ICS upgrade actually reduced the need for it a great deal, since stuff that used to kick the front end around is just sort of sucked up by the fork in a less than dramatic fashion more often than not. I'm not planning to give up my Scotts anytime soon, but I might not have bought one if I'd done the suspension first.

Scotts damper.

But I never had specialist tuned suspension :thumbsup:

btw Just saw ex-evertsssss Ohlinsessss yesterday (that changed 4 owners after the man, but still looked trick) :p
