tank colour change

5 posts in this topic

i've just bought a 03 450 ready to convert to supermoto and i'm thinking of changing the plastics to either black or white. The thing is the tank is blue so was thinking is it possible to paint it or would the petrol make it peel ? alternatively I have heard that you can dye them, any ideas where in the uk could do this ?

I've seen a thread where someone covered his tank with carbon fiber to stop his graphics from bubbling. Of course this made the tank look figgin sweet as well as change the color.

RIT dye is a clothing dye here in Australia so I imagine you should be able to get in the UK.
