06 jumped a tooth??

3 posts in this topic

hi guys just about to shim my valves and was just checking the valve timing, i read in the tech section on adj. the yzf250 valves that at the 12 o'clock timing marks there should be 12 pins on the chain between the 2. Is this the same for the 450 because mine has 13, could it possibly jumped a tooth any light on the subject would help

thanks alot

13 is correct on the 450. The count between cams is only dine as a cross check in any case. Use the timing marks against the cylinder head to time the cams.
