Overhauling wr 450 03 with big bore. questions

Hello!

As my Wr 450 03' are blowing out a significant amount og oil through the breather hose I'm planning to replace my cylinder with a big bore. So I have these questions. I'm from norway so sending my cylinder to US to bore is out of the question. I need a new cylinder kit bolt on i prefer. Now I have Hotcams Intake only, FMF exhaust, JD jetting kit

1. Which big bore kit should I go for?

2. What tools do I need to mount it?

3. What tools do I need for a complete engine overhaul? Valve adjusting etc.

4. How is it to adjust the carburator after monuntin a big bore kit?

5. How much HP and Torque gain can I expect?

Just shoot out any tips & triks I would need to know about:applause:

If the engine is blowing oil through the breather hose means you are over-filling it in oil changes....not engine wear. Engine wear causes oil consumption, smoke through the exhaust and lack of power (loss of resistance while pushing the kick-starter).

Not necessarily true, my man... Ring and piston problems, will cause excessive blow by that will pressurize the crankcase more than normal, that will cause the oil out of the breather. The old sttyle motors were alot less picky than the new ones, in regard to oil level.(Within reason).

To the OP, I would look into some of the aftermarket kits out there, I think Hot Rods is making a kit now, and I believe Athena does too. Take a look at those websites.

I might also say that the engine has just been overhauled by a specialist. he changed the piston and adjusted the valves. I might say that the engine used more oil after the overhauling than before.

I also red on the forum that the main bearings could cause oil spitting out?
