WR426 plastics

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

new to dirt bikes here. I've been riding a GSXR at the track and on the street for a while now. I'm picking up a '02 WR426 supermoto and I was wondering what plastics will fit? 400, 450? I'm a total dirt bike noob so I was wondering if I could get help. Also how much should I look to spend on a complete set minus gas tank?

Thanks

Some pics.

Check out the Thumpertalk store, both Acerbis and UFO sell plastics for the WR426: http://shop.thumpertalk.com/Plastics_Graphics_Seat_s/913.htm

UFO: http://shop.thumpertalk.com/catalogs/Parts_Unlimited_Offroad_2007/default.asp?p=674

Acerbis: http://shop.thumpertalk.com/catalogs/Tucker_Rocky_Offroad_2007/default.asp?p=260&s=2

Looks like UFO even has the "Enduro" read fender with light. I know from my WR250F it is impossible to get a stock-style rear fender without buying OEM.

THumpertalk also sells OEM parts, but you need to know the part #. I often buy my OEM stuff from www.rivayamaha.com since they have a microfiche parts finder: Here's there menu for '02 WR 426 http://216.37.204.203/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaDB.asp?Type=12&A=304

400/426 parts are interchangable except radiator shrouds. You need 426 shrouds for a 426. It looks like you already have a YZF tank on that bad boy, and a YZF rear fender. A complete set of fenders, shrouds and side panels will run about a buck-twenty.
