I had the suspension on my '07 sprung for my weight, and set the sag up right, and holy cow this thing rails corners AWESOME.

Daves special oil, his piston mods and the IC springs are what makes this work so well. I have been testing these for a few weeks and yes it really does work. The Bike turns much better even with my 24mm Clamps and extended rear axle. I rode my 06 back to back with a stock 08 yesterday and all I can say is yes my 06 corners better, finally! And the instant power does not hurt either....I can not believe how much I like my 06 again.:eek:

I have had an 06 YZ450F since 3/06 and have not felt it had big problems once I got it sprung correctly for my weight. I have been off the bike due to long winters and serious injuries the past 1.5 years.

Axle extended to furthest point on swingarm - similar to Grant Langstons set up

I have been having problems getting my 02 426 to turn. I called Dave after reading a bunch of his posts and sent him my suspension. He got it on Sat 3 and had a message to me with a parts break down and suggestions by Sun 4. This is the best service I have received ever! Also he did not try and talk me into a WORKS set up, but instead kept it reasonable. My forks had been butchered by the guy who owned the bike previously. Dave almost laughed when he told me " You must be hard cause that had to be one of the roughest rides out there!" It was too! 600 bucks for a lot of broken parts, rebuild, cleaning valving, re sprung, and shipping! I will have them in two days, today being the 5th. Less then a week for a full suspension set up! amazing!

As I mentioned at the end of my review, I used 11 ounces of SP5 in the outers. That comes out to 325cc. The inners are, of course, filled.

GreyRacer and Wiz - I am curious what oil height levels you experimented with and results....please tell.

I have 12 oz (354cc) in the outer chambers at the moment which has resulted in me runnng my comp. clickers way out, i.e., 14 - 20 clicks. The interesting thing about this is that while I could feel that I needed to drop the amount of oil it was never harsh and was (is) actually rather plush. So far all my riding has been on tight singletrack woods trails.

I will remove 25 - 30 cc's before my next ride which unfortunately will not be this weekend. My GF & I are celebrating our birthdays in Las Vegas this weekend :eek:

how much does the stuff cost? the oil alone. and the mod. I've read a bit about this oil and it sounds amazing. is it cheaper than regular re-valve work done by the big suspension companies? sounds like it performs better lol.
