If you're planning on running LED's, get your LED's set up with the proper resistor using an LED calculator (many available on line) so they run on 5.5 to 6V DC, then build yourself a bridge rectifier using 4 12v diodes to convert the AC to DC, add a 500 to 1000 microfahrad capacitor to smooth out the DC and you should be pumping about 5.5 to 6volts DC out the rectified side under throttle.
