New factory Yamaha MX1 bike

Yeah, I don't dig the all black either...Too overdone, bikes w/ all black plastics are everywhere...I agree with bedel, I'd like it better with the blue monster logo istead of green (lo-carb tastes better anyway, haha)...Then they could have dressed it up with blue accents...I'm suprised they didn't do something a little more original...

Am I the only one that hates the way black bikes look?

Definitely not. I'd rather have a green bike than a black bike!

Nope I also hate the black bikes. Does that make me a racist?

nope...it makes you prejudice

Your distaste for black bikes has nothing to do with whether you race or not.

I like it. Black bikes look pleasantly old school to me, if they're clean enough.

no you are not, my dad always says that he doesn't like them

i think the black looks sick too, minus the "monster" crap....

If I am seeing correctly, it looks like that euro YZF is sporting Carbon Fibre, or maybe ceramic brake rotors as well?.... man now that's "baddah-bling" trick !!

Black plastic looks great new. Terrible when beat up.

Black bikes are cool, but I prefer my Yamahas the way god (or Buddha) intended YELLOW. Unfortunately I have Blue one and a red one, and used to have an orange one. Some day, I may own a yellow (and black and white) Yamaha!

Black is for street going bikes and FMX bikes.

God, or Buddha, or whoever, appears to have had a short attention span:

The first YZ's were silver/red:

They were yellow from 77 to 84 or so:

Then RED

Then, in the early 90's, everyone's favorite:

Gray - God DID intend for YZ's to be yellow - Yamaha just hasn't always listened!

Geez, you just had to show that purple/pink monstrosity..

I always liked the first one the best, with that cool tank strap.. even though I was a honda guy back then...

Were they called YZs when they were silver? I don't remember them being called YZs until they were monoshock and yellow. But, my memory isn't what it use to be.

BTW I always liked the ones with the tank stripe also.

Were they called YZs when they were silver?
Yes. 1974 was the first year of that model designation.

Don't laugh......

Micky Dymond made this bike look cool and believe it or not, actually go fast......

Ahhh the late 80's...... JT hot pink piston bones clothing....... and the mullett hair.....

Eddy Fiola and Martin (drawing a blank on his last name) made pink GT freestyle bikes and mullets look cool as well! The first dirt bike I spent any time on was about 4 years ago on a Pink CR 125. My buddy bought it in baskets and put it together and claimed that it was red and faded, but that thing was about as pink as they can be.DSCN1059.jpg

Well, as much as it might seem otherwise Passionate Purple won't actually slow the bike down.
Thats one of the Rinaldi carbon fiber subframe/airboxes.
